ATCSW's International Symposium 2023

ATCSW hosted International Symposium on World Social Work Day. The Symposium focused on creating a healthy society through various means from volunteerism to businesses and professions.
The event included Keynote speeches and Concurrent Sessions among Four Thematic Issues: Social Security for Human Security in the Paradigm of Childcare Economy and policy, Environmental Sustainability for Human and Global Security, Health Security for Global security (from the pandemic to healthy lifestyles), and Financial stability for human security.

Meeting to discuss cooperation between MSDHS and JICA highlighted past history and future cooperation through ATCSW

On January 23, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., MSDHS Permanent Secretary Mr.Anukul Peedkaew and JICA Chief Representative Mr. Suzuki with his team met for the first time at MSDHS to discuss, among others, the collaboration on ATCSW. Mr. Peedkaew thanked JICA for 41 years of work and service with Thailand while JICA highlighted past history and future cooperation through ATCSW on technical project assistance in FY 2024-FY 2026 , including Support of JICA in other activities of the MSDHS.

Miss Wanna Suksriboonamphai Executive Director of ASEAN Training Centre for Social Work and Social Welfare (ATCSW) who signed and developed “Youth Volunteer for APEC” joined the interview In the talk show “APEC TALK (APEC with the new generation)” on the issue of children and youth potential development, Channel 2 NBT at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., hosted by Dr. Wit Sittivaekin and he invited guests of the talk show Miss Orapin Sak-eiam (Children Specialist Department of Children and Youth Affairs) , Mr. Supachai Udkham (Public Administration student Chiang Mai University is a youth who participates in the Youth Volunteers For APEC program) and Miss Supanart Jittaleela (new generation representative actor).

Asia-Pacific Commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Ms. Wanna Suksriboonamphai, Executive Director of ASEAN Training Centre for Social Work and Social Welfare (ATCSW) was invited to Asia-Pacific Commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Along with her, member include Mr. Jinnawatr Chaiwanichya and
Mr. Son Giwoong. The Commemoration was focused on the launch of book the Jakarta and present a myriad set of short film featuring actors with disabilities. From the Focus on Ability Short Film Festival, an annual festival hosted by NOVA Employment, presented by the Australian Embassy in Thailand. Therefore, the conference was organized in line with the international theme of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in addressing change for accessible and equitable participatory development.

Miss Ramrung Worawat, Deputy Permanent Secretary delivered opening remarks as Host Government and welcomed the Governing Board members. Followed by The Chair of ATCSW Governing Board, Dr. Melba L. Manapol, ASWC-Philippines.
